Abilities (doesn't use energy to do):
• Pick-Pocket: Alex can pick the pockets of most people in his immediate vicinity without them knowing. Creatures, immortal beings, and other children of Hermes are immune to this ability and will feel him almost every time.
• Lock-Pick: Can successfully pick most key locks. Any enchanted locks or with charms placed on them he cannot use this ability on. Any technological lock, a Smartlock for example, he cannot use this ability on.
• Latent Knowledge: Alex can read any map well and calculate the distance and the travel time from one place to another by simply looking at one. He keeps a minimap of America's major highway routes in his wallet for this very reason.
Powers (uses energy to do):
The Speed of Mercury: Alex gets a speed boost for 10 minutes a day. This increases his speed to 25 miles per hour (a fairly achievable speed considering the maximum recorded speed of humans is 28 mph.) His speech, perception, and healing are all sped up and doubled that of a normal human. This does tire him out, resulting in a near unconscious state with every use.

History (four sentences or more):
Alex was raised by his single mother, Kristina, in Massachusetts for most of his life. Kristina could see through the mist and taught Alex a few methods of defense against the monsters that came their way. She was a traveling doctor and an excellent one at that, bringing in a generous amount of money for her and Alex to live off of while being away from home quite a lot. With the money, she had a large house built in the middle of the woods, away from civilization, surrounded by monster traps set up by other demigods Kristina met on her travels. Here, Alex lived with an overly buff satyr named Silas, who acted as a bodyguard as well as a teacher and sparring coach. Kristina came to the house whenever she had time off between travels. Alex grew up knowing what the demigod world held but did not know who his father was. On Alex's 13th birthday, Kristina told him about Hermes and informed Alex that Silas was going to take him to a camp in New York, where he would train to defend himself from monsters.

• Silas is a story character only, and not one I plan to roleplay as. I may mention him in Alex's flashbacks, but I do not intend on roleplaying with him.
