History:
Alanis was born in Blackrock, Ireland, a suburb of Dublin. Her mother, Cassidy, was a NYC native who moved to Ireland for college and to live with her paternal grandmother. She fell in love with the culture, the music, and the land. Cassidy loved the party culture in Dublin. She would spend all weekend trolling the pub scene in Dublin, and that’s where she met Dionysus.

Alanis was born 6 minutes before her twin sister MacKenna in her great-grandmother’s cottage. Cassidy was all alone there except for her grandmother, who Alanis was named after. The birth of her daughters and having to raise them on her own set Cassidy on the straight and narrow. She started working and gave MacKenna and Alanis the best life she could.

Alanis was always hard to tack down. As soon as she could, she would run away from home for the day to just spend time in town. She loved to meet people who were very different than her and then go home and try and be them. Alanis got in to acting when she was young. She’d to plays and musicals and spend her time around the house pretending to be anyone she could be. A lot of people at school that she was weird because every week she’d dress and act like someone different. This didn’t bother Alanis, though. She found her people early.

When MacKenna and Alanis were 9, Cassidy had a visitor from New York. He was a young rich man who had been in love with Cassidy their whole lives. Cassidy fell back in love, and she moved their family back to New York City. Alanis loved the art in NYC and thrived in a very different way than MacKenna. Alanis latched on the Broadway community and tried to see any show that she could.

When Alanis was 13, though, the truth came out about their father and her and MacKenna went to Camp Half Blood. Alanis has been trying to find her person ever since.
