Life in the big city

I have a few questions about the state of New Rome. I believe these have been asked before, but I am still uncertain on the details.

1) Is New Rome architecturally inspired by the classical era, modern era, or a sprawl that took on new architectural styles as time went on?

2) What is the state of transport in New Rome? Are bikes the most modernity possible, or are streets stuffed with cars?
 a) If the city has modern transport, does it have public transit options like busses and      
      trams?

3) What is the weapon policy in New Rome? Or classical weapons (swords, spears, etc.) allowed, and if so does it extend to any possible weapon?

4) Does the Senate, made up of active legionnaires, decide laws for New Rome or is there an independent or semi-independent city government?
