September 13th, 2019

Oliver is standing in one of the Green Rooms on the ground level of The Apollo. The main lobby of The Apollo was down a grand staircase and that was where Oliver's party was being held. Somehow Oliver was nervous. He could never have imagined that his 18th birthday would be this fancy, but Delilah and Lachlan would spare no expense on the party. It was their dads' moneys, though, but the thought was still there. As much as Oliver tried to act like it was all too much, but really it was everything he ever wanted. This casino royale party was the party of his dreams, and it was going to be the night of his life. On the downside, Oliver was feeling kind of sick. He'd woken up super worn out, but he had stayed up super late the night before at a party at Lachlan's.

The party had started about 20 minutes before. The speaker was on in the Green Room so Oliver could here the music playing in the lobby and the announcer announcing guests as they walked down the stairs. He recognized a handful of the names, but didn't recognize the rest. Lachlan and Delilah must have invited the whole of the camp to this thing. Oliver was okay with that. He liked the attention.

Lachlan, Delilah, and Skye were in the green room with him. Even though he was an active member of the story, he still didn't know how they got here. 3 months ago, Oliver barely knew Delilah and Skye. He had no idea of the history that Skye and Lachlan had shared when they rushed out of the clubhouse when she returned. Oliver also remembered the major fight he'd walked in a month before. There was no way that night as he walked Delilah home that they'd end up here: two semi-functional couples.

Oliver was scheduled to make his entrance at 7:30, exactly a half hour after the party started, and Lachlan and Skye would enter before them. This might be the first time that he was ever on time to anything. Oliver was leaned against the counter in front of the vanity where countless actors and actresses had gotten ready for shows and his arm was around Delilah's shoulders. She looked absolutely beautiful. Oliver kissed the top of Delilah's forehead. His other hand was in his pocket, fidgeting with the gold coin that Delilah had given him the week before. He'd been carrying it around since that day.

It had been a wild twenty four hours around New Rome. Delilah and Lachlan had been so focused on getting everything ready for Oliver's birthday and making sure that it was everything that he would want. Delilah was a good party planner, but even they hired someone to help them keep track of things since the two of them were rather busy with their own lives. Delilah especially had been busier considering all the time she had been spending with Oliver and then all the time spent with Lachlan. After that her time was eaten away from the fact Dr.Burke had cleared her to back to work in the infirmary and she even had her videos she had to make to keep on top of her game.

Lately she had mostly been working mornings like she had been used to, she wanted as many things on her resume to make it look good, but it wasn't like the infirmary was what she wanted to do. Being a doctor wasn't her life long dream, but anything was helpful at this point, especially since with journalism you needed to be able to have knowledge on most things and just random things at that. Still the infirmary had liked to give her shifts like there was no tomorrow. For the most part they were day shifts, but they started her on night shifts when it came to terms of Oliver's birthday. The shift was supposed to be 6 pm to 6 am. But that wouldn't do, so she had to switch with Julien so she could get the night off.

After getting off work at 6 pm tonight she had to instantly take her dress with her to the Apollo. That was where she began to get ready for the night and had  Skye help her with her hair and makeup. She could feel the nerves in the pit of her stomach, she wanted this night to go well for Oliver, it was his birthday afterall, but in some ways she felt a little bit of pressure to be the best date she could be.

Delilah had finally been fully ready with makeup and hair done in all, and her dress on. She had gone with the light pink dress she had tried on in the stores. It was perfect and it was going to make the night so good. In the green room she could feel Oliver's arm around her and the kiss on her forehead. They were enough to calm down her nerves and she just felt excitement for the night. Hopefully this wouldn't be the moment that she tripped and fell down the stairs. She had some faith in herself.

The legacies hands reached up to the bow tie that he had and she began to fix it to make sure it was even. "There." She said with a big grin on her face before she spoke to him, "Happy Birthday again." Delilah said to him as she leaned in for a quick kiss. She had said happy birthday numerous times today. First thing in the morning right before she went to work she had stopped by and said it to him. Then she had also texted it to him while she was on shit, and right now was the third time. She just liked recognizing peoples birthdays. Delilah knew it was a nice feeling.

If Lachlan had known how much work would need to go in to Oliver's party, he never would have signed up to help. Of course, that wasn't actually true. He had known how much work it was going to be, Oliver was his best friend after all, but he did keep saying that to Delilah for the whole week before. She was lucky, though. She got to duck out of all the difficult stuff for work. Lachlan and Skye had had to deal with all the vendors arriving and trying to get everything as close to Delilah's vision by the time she showed at 6:15. Delilah had done a quick scope of the room and gave Lachlan notes before her and Skye had gone to get ready. That was another thing, the girls got to get dressed right before the party. He'd been in a suit all day.

Now, though, there was nothing that could be changed. The party was already raging downstairs and from the names he'd heard announced over the speaker and the texts Emily and Brian were sending him from downstairs (they'd offered to handle things down their while Delilah and Lachlan were upstairs with Oliver), everyone was there. It was crazy that him and Delilah had accidentally thrown the number 1 formal event of the New Rome year.

Lachlan was sitting on the oatmeal colored couch watching Delilah and Oliver. His brain was still struggling a little bit to wrap itself around them. Sure, he got how they were great together, but it was just a little bit weird. It was like his best friend, whose past he knew everything about, was dating his sister. Though, as they kissed and complimented each other, he couldn't help but smile. He was glad they were happy.

Lachlan was sitting on the couch with Skye. They were, and he guessed, always would be a very different kind of couple than Delilah and Oliver. That's okay, though. He liked what him and Skye had. Lachlan was never one for that lovey-dovey honeymoon phase stuff. He looked at Skye and poked her lightly in the side and then laughed before leaning in and whispering to her,

"You look beautiful." He said and kissed the side of her temple. So, romance wasn't completely dead to him.

It felt nice to have his friends here with him. Oliver wished that Emily, Brian, and Hannah were here, too, but according to Lachlan they were manning things on the ground floor before him and Delilah made it down there. Oliver felt really damn lucky. Between the Gang in here, the Underworld Club, and the Boys (and Marley), he had such amazing friends. For someone who spent the first 65% of his life without many friends, it was all he could possibly ask for for his birthday. But the growing table of gifts that Emily had told Lachlan about wouldn't hurt either.

Oliver smiled at Skye. "Thank you, Skye. I'm sorry I'm winning in the birthday battle." He teased, which in a way was a razz to himself since he was co-planner of Skye's party. Oh well, you can't win them all. He looked down at Delilah. "And extra thanks to you." Oliver kissed her lightly again and then stood up, his free hand slipping into his pocket. He must have moved too quickly because he got a bit dizzy and stabled himself lightly on Delilah, hoping she wouldn't notice.

Oliver looked at the clock. 7:26. It was almost time for the four of them to make their entrances, but he wanted to have a minute with his friends before that. So he pulls Delilah along until they are standing in front of Lachlan and Skye. He grabs their hands and pull them up so that they are standing, and puts his arms around Lachlan and Delilah. He debated a group hug but decided to stay here to give Skye the out if she needed it.

"I am so thankful for the three of you and everything you did today and these past few months. I don't know how I got so lucky, but I'm not going to question it. I am so ready to be friends until we're old and in nursing homes. But first, lets go dance our ducking asses off and have the nights of our lives." He says and squeezes Lachlan and Delilah's shoulders.

Oliver in a suit was so much more than Delilah could ever ask for. To see him there in a suit that fit right, it was just a sight she didn't know she ever needed. He was incredibly handsome and the brunette felt extremely lucky to have Oliver in her life, not just as her friend, but as something more than a friend. Her and Oliver had been spending more and more time together, especially after he asked her to be his date to his birthday party. She still had nerves about it all, she wanted everything to go right, and she wanted them to end up making things official. Delilah knew that stuff took time and they were still getting to know each other a bit, it made sense, but she just felt safe with Oliver. She felt more than safe with Oliver, she had so many feelings when it came to him.

Delilah could remember that night during the field of mars party, where they were just playing musical instruments together and then later they were just hugging on the floor laughing, they were such good moments, but she could remember when they drove to San Francisco to get the party decorations, she had looked over to him in the car, and she knew then she wanted to kiss him. There had been so many emotions tied around them for so long, that she tried to push them down and pretend she didn't have them, but Delilah also didn't want to keep making the same mistakes.

As he kissed her back she could feel the warmth radiate through her body, she could feel the butterflies stir up again. Delilah loved every feeling she got when she was with him. She felt him put a little bit of weight on her as he stood up though, and she wasn't sure if it was just an average thing, or if something was going out. Delilah didn't want to call him out in front of the whole group though, she'd ask him in private when she got the chance.

"To Oliver!" Delilah exclaimed after Oliver made his little speech about them being friends. She really hoped they'd be friends until the end, part of her had reserves about it after what happened last time. Delilah didn't want to put her heart out there too much this time until it felt safe. The only person she had confidence and security with was Oliver. The four of them would then begin to make their way towards where the grand stair case would be. It was four minutes to when Oliver's entrance would be happening.

Lachlan smiled as Skye poked him back. It was definitely not a normal relationship, but it was perfect. He pushed a strand of red-brown hair out of Skye's face with his ring finger and smiled at her when he felt Oliver's hand wrap around his wrist. He felt him pull him up and a hand clap onto his shoulder. Lachlan was no stranger to the Oliver Speech. He guessed that if Oliver was a normal kid, he'd be the kind of sports captain that they made movies about who could will their teams to victory with speeches. Sometimes he really wished that Oliver had been lucky enough to just be normal. He didn't deserve the shit he goes through. After he felt Lachlan's arm clamp onto his shoulder harder, he laughed and met Delilah's response.

"To Oliver." He patted Oliver on the back and then pulled out of his embrace. He turned to Skye. "We should probably get out of here before we get roped into an hour of motivational poster worthy speeches." Lachlan said, teasing Oliver. He really did appreciate it. It was nice to know that Oliver had the faith in them as friends that he did. Lachlan hoped it would all come true. Lachlan also wanted to leave to give Oliver and Delilah a minute alone before their grand entrance.

Lachlan put his arm out to Skye in the way guys did for formal events and started out into the hallway that led to the grand staircase. Once the door was shut behind them, he turned to Skye and put a hand on the side of her face and kissed her. "I am very happy to be here with you." He said and then started back down the hallway until he saw the announcer. He leaned to him and told him their names.

"Skye Maddox and Lachlan Reid." He was very happy to say their names together.

Oliver smiled looking down at his feet as his friends mock-cheersed to him. He was so thankful for them, and as much as he did like being the center of attention, he still felt bashful. He liked his friends version of him the most, especially Delilah's. They saw the good in him that he struggled to and found a way to make him feel loved and valid. He really couldn't be happier to be here with them now.

Oliver was thankful when Skye and Lachlan gave them a minute alone. He waved to Skye as they walked out the door and then walked over to the vanity table and grabbed a small plastic box and a black bracelet case. Oliver slipped the box back into his suit coat pocket and turned back to Delilah as he opened the clear box. He took Delilah's hand lightly and slipped a yellow and pink corsage onto her wrist that matched the boutonniere he was wearing.

"Thank you for being my date." He slipped his hand into his pocket and pulled the bracelet case out. "My grandparents in Georgia sent me some money for my birthday and I wanted to say thank you for everything you've done for my and for my party. I know it's my party, so don't hate me but I got you something."

Oliver opened the box. Inside was a simple gold bracelet with a small little Green Lantern charm hanging from it. It was nothing special, probably an extremely cheap piece of jewelry compared to the stuff someone with money like the Lockwoods would have, but it meant something to him. That day where he had broken down at her house was still at the front of his mind and Delilah had done such a good job within him that day, turning something that he hated about himself into something that made him just think of her support.

"I know it's not much."

When she started the 'to Oliver' bit she was glad that it actually picked up and she wasn't just left hanging. She realized that it was a really cliche thing to say and it was done in all the movies and shows, but she felt like it was the right choice to make. It was the kind of cheesy thing that she figured Oliver would like. She didn't know everything about Oliver yet, but she was looking forward to getting to know him more over the next while, if anything she was excited. Delilah loved getting to know people and for some reason she could store information about her friends easily in terms of their family life, personal interests and what have you. It was the stuff the legacy of cupid liked to remember.

As Skye and Lachlan moved out of the room so they could be introduced to the crowd, it gave her a chance with Oliver alone. She watched him as he walked over to the table and turned back around with a clear plastic box. This one had a corsage in the box, it was something she always heard of happening at proms every now and then, but with the kind of life that they led as demigods, Delilah didn't think she'd ever get one. The smile grew on her as she saw the flower inside the box, it was a beautiful yellow and pink corsage that matched the boutonniere he had. She could feel her hear beat in her chest a little to go along with the excitement that ran through her body.

"Oliver, you didn't have to do this and I know you're going to say that you wanted to or something like that, but long ramble short, I love it." But before she had time to process everything he was talking about his grandparents giving him money and instantly she could feel her heart beginning to have a slight sinking feeling. Delilah had an idea where this was going and it was confirmed when he mentioned he got her something, but once he showed her what it was, the feeling went away.

She hated when people bought her things, she was so used to buying things for other people or doing things for other people and to have that turned around on herself made her feel in this weird kind of spotlight she wasn't quite used to, but the gold chain with the little green lantern charm was the sweetest thing she had ever been given. Delilah had hesitation to accept the gift like she had with most gifts, but this one meant too much to deny it.

"Oliver, I could never hate you for one. For two it could have been something you found off the side of the road, but if it held something meaningful, it'd be worth so much more than money could ever afford, long ramble short again, I just mean that it means so much to me." Delilah was a fan of things that meant a lot and had sentimental value, she didn't care too often for materialistic things. "But you really shouldn't have. I feel bad that you spent your birthday money on me."

She extended her wrist out, "Could you put it on me, please?" She asked him with the same smile on her face. Of course she was going to accept it, the gift itself almost made her cry. "Thank you for asking me to be your date though, it'd be my honor to be your date anytime, Oliver Garrett."

Lachlan could watch the demeanor Skye held change between saying that she was happy to be here with him and saying that she needed to talk to him. Had he already managed to mess something up? Had she decided that it was dumb for them to try and be something official when all they could be was messy? Was it something that he wouldn't even let himself think? Lachlan wanted to stop there and talk about it, but before he could, he heard the professional voice over the loud speaker,

"Miss. Skye Maddox, escorted by Mr. Lachlan Reid."

And so they had to turn their attention to the crowd. The party looked amazing from up here. He could see people dancing and drinking punch and playing games, all dressed up to the nines. Lachlan smiled a typical charismatic and proud smile as he walked down the gorgeous stairs with Skye on his arm. When they got to the bottom, his group of guy friends and their dates were waiting. Most of them had brought just randos, but Greg had brought his long term boyfriend, Jeff, and Steve and Marley came together, obviously, since they were engaged.  

"You know everyone, right?" Lachlan asked Skye and then pointed around the group, pointing out the core members. "Greg, Steve, Marley, Stu, Mark, Leighton, and Chad." Lachlan slipped his arm out of Skye's as Mark grabbed him and pulled him into him.

"Dude, is it shitty to say I hope you two break up so that I can play rebound." Mark said to Lachlan. Lachlan pushed him and said, "Yeah, it really is." But they were laughing. He exchanged bro hugs with them and met the dates that he didn't know, as they exchanged one line jokes in their own language. Marley moved over to Skye.

"You'll start to understand them, eventually. I hope you'll be around more. We could use another more-permanent girl." Marley said to Skye.

Oliver shook his head. "There is nothing I would rather have spent it on. I have everything I need. I mean, did you hear Lachlan talking about that gift table downstairs? I had a much better time picking this out for you." And people thought that Lachlan was the suave one. Oliver took the bracelet out of the case and clasped it around Delilah's wrist, opposite the corsage.

As he looked up at Delilah, he heard the sound of the microphone turning back on announcing Skye and Lachlan. It was still so weird hearing them together. A lot of people had said that they didn’t get it, but Oliver did. He couldn’t be happier to be here with Delilah and have them here together. Oliver just took a second to look at Delilah and smile before kissing her lightly. Then, he stood up straight and put his arm out for Delilah.

”I think that means that we are up.” Oliver led Delilah out into the hallway and turned right. He could feel the nerves in his chest and in his stomach. His friends had made it very clear that he wasn’t to see any of the party before his grand entrance. So, as he pushed the doors opened, he honestly felt some tears well up in his eyes.

Everything was perfect. From the people to the design to the games, it was better than he could have ever imagined. He couldn’t believe that all of this was for him. He looked down and saw a set of large gold balloons spelling out his name with a big 18 next to it. This really was his party. Then he heard the announcer,

“Ladies and Gentlemen, Miss. Delilah Lockwood, escorted by our guest of honor, Mr. Oliver Garrett.” Oliver was smiling from ear to ear as they headed down the stairs. He saw Skye with her phone up.

Hearing the words fall out of his mouth when he mentioned that he couldn't think of anything else he'd have rather spent it on made the same old butterflies fly around in her stomach. Delilah never thought she'd get to feel this way, it always just seemed to be something she read in her books. She had felt feelings before for other people, but they were just different with Oliver, they were a good different. The butterflies almost made her giddy to the point it put a smile on her face that just wouldn't wipe away. That was just how it felt to be with Oliver all the time, but she was taken out of her thoughts when she felt his lips brush against hers.

When he offered out his arm for her in the typical fashion one would for escorting she then looped her arm in his gently. "Yeah Lachlan was telling me about the present table, but I couldn't think of anyone more deserving than you." Delilah truly meant the words that she said. She knew he had a good childhood with his mother Jasmine, but there were things that he struggled with that no one could quite understand, she wasn't entirely sure that even Dr.Burke understood. The legacy of Cupid wanted to ask Oliver how he had been doing since roughly a week or so ago when he broke down in her house, but at that point they were so close to going down to the party that she wouldn't get the time to ask.

When the doors opened and they walked through them, Delilah could see the party down below. She had only been able to see bits and pieces and what was happening at the time that she left to go get changed. Lachlan had matched her vision, well their vision perfectly. Everything was in place from the games to the attire and even to the decorations. Delilah looked over to Oliver and she could see the joy on his face which only made her feel happier to know her and Lachlan had done really well on the party.

As the announcer introduced their names they began to walk down the stairs. As soon as they did she could see Skye with her phone out and she was glad, Delilah would have wanted this moment on camera and she was sure this was proof that Skye had a close friendship to the two of them. Delilah gave the smallest wave to the camera just as they neared the bottom of the stairs.

Once they got there Delilah could see Lachlan and Skye down there with Lachlan's whole crew. Stu, Marley, Greg, Mark, Chad, and Leighton. Instantly seeing the group of them all here she could remember a lot of their past. Delilah only really remembered Stu, Marley and Leighton. Stu and Marley were just a power couple, hence being engaged and then Leighton just happened to be her first kiss, but back in their early teens you were either an Asher, Leighton or Lachlan girl. Honestly Delilah was glad that, as far as she knew that wasn't a thing anymore.

"The world needs saints." Marley joked back to Skye.

After Lachlan got through greeting everyone in the group, he heard the hum of the microphone pick back up. He turned to see Delilah and Oliver at the top of the stairs. He tracked Oliver's eyes as he looked over the party and saw the tears welling up in his eyes. Wow, what a nerd. Lachlan was so lucky to have him.  Lachlan watched as Skye recorded the pair and Marley took a step back to be in line with him. She leaned over and whispered to him,

"I really think she's good for you. Better for you." Lachlan always appreciated Marley. She'd been around for a few years and was always willing to be more honest with him than any of the guys would be, both good and bad. Lachlan smiled and nodded in agreement. Then, he thought about what she was saying. He felt a knot form in his stomach. A small voice in his head knew what she meant by 'better for you' and he felt like the same betrayer he'd been feeling like for almost 16 months now.

Then, Delilah and Oliver were down in the group and he didn't have time to think about that. The boys greeted Oliver and reintroduced themselves to Delilah. Lachlan always found it weird when his two groups of friends interacted. Oliver was the connecting link between the two, but watching as Marley talked to Skye and Delilah would definitely keep being weird. He knew that they all knew each other, but in a way he felt like they knew a different him. He put his arm around Skye's waist and said,

"Wanna dance?"

When Oliver reached the bottom of the stairs, he quickly dabbed his eyes before greeting his friends. With the exception of Greg and sometimes Chad, the group of guys weren't really the type for emotions. So, he went around the group with Delilah, making sure that he introduced her to each of them, in case they hadn't really known each other before. It was weird to feel on the inside in this minute. Usually, Oliver felt like the odd man out, but that was finally starting to change.

Marley hugged Delilah and asked her a question about where she got her dress, and Oliver took the opportunity to step back and say hi to Emily and Bry. They told him that Hannah was around somewhere. Oliver liked how Hannah was spending more and more time with them. Emily pointed to Skye as she walked out of the group with Lachlan.

"Who is she? She looks super familiar?" Oliver followed her finger to Skye. "Oh, that's Skye Maddox. She's the girl that came back from that quest." Oliver guessed that that was what she would know Skye from. Emily nodded, and then turned away to walk with Bry to find Hannah.

Oliver made his way back to Delilah, wrapping his arms around her shoulders from the back and kissing the top of her head. "Should we follow suit and get our dance on?"

Oliver began to introduce her to everyone in the group, some of the faces were familiar and she could have maybe put a name to the face, but most of them she got confused with each other. Then there were the people that Delilah knew but didn't talk to on the daily. It was nice though, to be the one who was a little on the outskirts, it made her a nervous wreck in some senses, but in others to not be the one who had to do the introductions or have all these bonds already made, it was a good feeling. The legacy enjoyed the balance that her and Oliver were seeming to have at this moment.

It wasn't too long until Delilah was in a conversation with Marley and Skye for a little bit. Marley was asking her where she got her dress, in to which she gave the answer and talked a little bit more about the shopping trip that her and Skye had a week or so before. It was a trip that Delilah enjoyed and she only remembered smiling so much more when she put this dress on versus the various ones that she had on before. Her eyes would then follow Skye and Lachlan as Lachlan came up and asked Skye to go dance. While watching them walk out, she could feel Oliver's arms wrap around her shoulders from behind.

Delilah had the biggest smile on her face when she felt his arms around her and he asked if she wanted to dance. "Only if you're ready to see me get my dance on in a way no one wants to look at." The brunette said with a laugh as she turned to face Oliver and took his hand so they could go out farther to the dance floor.

Skye agreed to dance with Lachlan and he let out a little bit of a relieved smile. He knew that he shouldn't be as nervous as he was about needing to talk to him. He couldn't think of anything that he had done wrong, except for maybe the little snips they took at each other while setting up for the party. Was that a big enough deal? He doubted it, which meant that he shouldn't be worried. Their relationship was new, so naturally they'd have things to tell each other they didn't know.

The music was nice and calm. It was early in the party, and it was a formal event, so people wanted some time to live in that. Lachlan was sure that as the party moved on, the music would get louder and crazier and the dancing would get raunchier, but for now everyone was dancing in little circles around the dance floor.

When they got to the dance floor, Lachlan took Skye's hand in his and put his other hand on her waist. Lachlan looked down at her and smiled. He debated if he should ask her about what she had mentioned before, but he was worried to. What if it led to an argument right here on the dance floor? He didn't know if they were totally past that and Oliver didn't deserve that. So instead, he looked around smiling and said,

"We really did a good job, huh?'

"Anything with you." Delilah took Oliver's hand and he felt the electricity go up his arm that he felt every time that they touched. It made him feel so lucky every single time. Oliver caught up to Delilah so that they were walking next to each other and holding hands. It felt so nice to be out in public with her. Obviously, they hadn't been keeping themselves a secret, but they hadn't really made any public appearances yet. Now they were here in front of everyone.

When they got out to the dance floor, Oliver took Delilah's hand in his and put it on her waist. The music was slow and colored lights were moving slowly over the dance floor. Oliver watched as the different colors moved over her, reflecting in her eyes, bringing out shades in the brown that he had never noticed before. Oliver smiled wide.

"I am so lucky to be standing here. You are so beautiful." Oliver said slowly and quietly. It was all 100% true. He honestly couldn't believe that this was how his life had ended up.

Oliver gave Delilah a little spin, and as he watched the pink fabric of her dress spin, he felt himself get a little light headed. He ignored it, though, his hand landing on Delilah's back to pull her closer to him. There was nothing in the world that could ruin this moment or this day, definitely not a tiny bug in his system.

"Anything with me, huh?" Delilah said looking back over to him over her shoulder as she led him through the party. It only reminded her of the night that she first met Oliver. She had stumbled into a crowded dance floor and just happened to bump into Oliver and now here they were back in a crowded room with loud music and dancing people. It was funny how things always worked in a big loop, you could start at point A and get to point B, but you somehow always end up at point A. It made this warm feeling surround her heart as it fluttered in her chest.

"I'll keep that in mind." The brunette said as they faced each other now, her hand in his. This was much different than the last time they were dancing. Before it was some weird mix of beats and lyrics that had faded from her memory at this point and they were just fist bumping and Delilah was dancing as if she were a white dad at a barbecue, pulling out moves like the sprinkler and such. This was much nicer though, the slow dancing with Oliver mean more to her than the last time they danced. It reminded her of the whole night they had, and they'd just sit and laugh on the games room floor. It was the simple moments like that, that Delilah really enjoyed. It reminded her that she wanted to spend more time with Oliver, she wanted to get to know him more than she did now. Sure she knew deep things due to therapy, but she wanted to know the little things. If he took coffee, what did he put in it, what his favourite colour was, the things that made him smile with that grin with the wrinkles, or the things that got under his skin.

"Thank you, but I feel as though I am the one that's lucky to be standing here with you. You can really pull off a suit for one, and for two I can't help but be happy with you." Delilah said feeling all the emotions that were welling up inside of her. It was almost an overwhelming feeling of happiness, but Delilah loved it. "How have you been feeling the last few days?"

Lachlan shook his head. ”I wouldn’t have been able to do any of this today without you. I mean, who else would have stood on that table?” Lachlan teased, hoping that it wasn’t too soon. Him and Skye were always at their most comfortable when they were messing with each other. He felt more comfortable now that they were dancing together. He had managed to almost completely push his nerves out of his mind. He would talk to Skye later and everything would be fine. Right?

Lachlan couldn’t help but give a stupid happy grin when Skye complimented him. He knew that him and his guy friends had their own kind of language, but he felt like him and Skye were on the way to having that, too. Lachlan knew exactly what she was saying.

”Well, if I’ve got you fooled, I am unstoppable.” Lachlan joked. He bent his head down and kissed Skye. Here. In public. With the exception of dancing together at one party, and messing with each other at Skye’s party, him and Skye had barely even interacted in public. Now he was kissing her around all of these other people. Lachlan pulled his head back and smiled.

”If I’m good, you’re cosmically great.” Lachlan knew that she would understand what that meant.

Oliver smiled goofily when Delilah turned his compliment back on him. It was nice to get some kind of validation, for sure. He wasn't really giving it to himself lately, so coming from the prettiest girl that he knew, it really meant something to him. He kissed the top of her forehead lightly.

"I am going to make great arm candy someday."] He said, fixing his bow time jokingly. "I'm going to be a creative, after all. Well, I hope so. Hopefully, I won't end up at like In 'N' Out Burger." Oliver said, and then gave that a little thought. In 'N' Out was a pretty west coast exclusive restaurant. Up until recently, he had never thought of himself staying out in California. Maybe things were finally falling into place where that was a real possibility.

Oliver sighed when Delilah asked how he was doing. He knew that she was just being caring and kind, and he was thankful for that, but he'd really not like to think about it. He was still a bit embarrassed of what had happened the week before, and he wished Delilah wouldn't worry about him. He knew she would, though.

"I've been fine. Nothing out of the ordinary." That was mostly true. He hadn't totally felt his best since his little breakdown that day, and now he was getting sick, but that was just regular old human stuff. Now demonic possession there.
